This is an affiliate practice I have established that is staffed by counseling interns I supervise.

“Have you been told you take things too personally?

Have people described you as overly-emotional, thin-skinned, or too sensitive?

Do you feel more deeply than others?

You are profoundly in tune with the moods and feelings of others, and acutely impacted by them.  You may become easily overwhelmed, and often feel misunderstood.

You might have experienced that look of confusion in high sensitivity moments that left you feeling broken, as though something was wrong with you – but you are not broken, there is nothing wrong with you, and you are stronger than you think!  I can help you find that strength and enjoy renewed confidence in who you are.

I specialize in supporting the highly sensitive person toward deeper understanding, acceptance, and balance.  My counseling style utilizes your natural intuition and creativity.  I focus on mind, body, and spirit connections to support whole health and wellness.  I also work with individuals struggling with past trauma and abuse, dissociation, caregiver stress, life transitions, addictions, obesity and binge eating, anxiety, and grief and loss.

I welcome diversity and offer an affirming space for members of the LGBTQ+ communities.  Reach out for your free 30-minute consultation at 512-489-0215 or by email ( to determine if I would be a good fit for your needs.  I look forward to hearing from you!”

“As a child, you were ignored, criticized, smothered, or abused by an unloving parent.

Now as an adult, there’s a voice inside you that says, “If I was really worthy of respect, love, and affection, my parent would have given it to me.”

Adults of unloving parents often tell themselves they’ll never be good enough, lovable enough, or acceptable enough to deserve success and happiness.

You’ve probably been trapped in the belief that you are the reason the relationship with your parent is unhealthy.

And from that early misunderstanding, it’s been difficult to form healthy and satisfying relationships in your adult life.

However, you are deserving of fulfilling relationships and a fulfilling life. Together we will strive to overcome the challenges of a painful childhood and move towards a more pleasurable adult life.

I specialize in helping adults with mothers or fathers who couldn’t give them the love they needed. My approach to therapy is present-centered, emotionally engaged, and relationship focused. I utilize my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) to help you explore and heal current problems and the early life experiences tied to them. I also work with individuals struggling with perfectionism and trauma recovery.

You don’t have to live with these wounds. It’s time to transform your relationship with yourself and others. Call me today at 512.900.7913 to schedule your free 30 minute in-person consultation, and we can figure out the next step together.”

“Do you identify as a gamer, a geek, or a misfit?

What if you could go to a counselor knowing that she wouldn’t pathologize you for being different?

Maybe you’ve been stigmatized based on your interests or haven’t found your tribe yet.

Whether you are needing help with communication in relationships, social anxiety, confidence, or managing your time, you are welcome here.

You just rolled a nat-20 on the search for your counselor. My mission in therapy is to create a non-judgmental space for young adults who have felt misunderstood for being a geek, gamer, or misfit to thrive.

I work with adults of all ages, genders, faiths or lack thereof, cultural backgrounds, and sexual or romantic identities (including LGBTQ+ and non-monogamous relationships).

My approach to therapy is client-centered, relational, trauma-informed, and balances identifying thoughts and emotions. In therapy I will provide challenging questions that might allow us to explore deeper connections in your life. Together, we can work to help you overcome stuck points so that you can grow into your authentic self.

You don’t have to be ashamed of any part of yourself.  It’s time to start the quest for personal growth.
